The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

well for those of you who don't know..that's the mormon church. why, you ask, am i writing about it? well we're thinking about joining the church. and by "we" i mean, i already want to and have already decided, and the boys don't have a choice yet. and christopher is coming with us b/c he respects my decision and will come support our family. weather or not he will actually join the church or get baptized we don't know. okay now, i'll explain some history and why i'm making this decision. so my grandparents are mormon, my mom was raised mormon...but sh'es not anymore. However, she did raise us with some of those values, and i used to go to church with my grandparents and felt really welcomed. so anyway i thought i would just write about it, b/c i'm really excited about it. i'm excited for what it's goign to do for our family and what's it's goign to do for our relationship with God. My grandparents are on a mission right now and they requested the missionaries to come to our house. so we're expecting a visit from them this week. anyway, for those of you who are already mormon and who've i've talked with, thank you for your support and for those of you who are just supporting us cuz you love us, thank you!!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Tasha! That is so freaking awesome! I grew up being raised LDS and I owe everything I am and everything I have to the church. I think it's so wonderful that you are doing this for your family, too! That's my favorite part about the gospel - is the fact that families are forever. And everything in the church is so focused on the family. And obviously, just from reading your blog alone - you can tell how much you care about your family and totally want what's best for them.

This really is one of the greatest decisions you'll ever make. For me, my relationship with my Heavenly Father and with my my savior, Jesus Christ, is something I'm so happy that I have and it truly gives me peace. And I know my husband feels the same way. And we both can't wait for little Livy to have that same relationship and peace.

So yeah, sorry this is such a long comment, but I'm just so excited for you! Please, if you have any questions or you just want to have a discussion about the church - email or call me! Let me know and I can send you my number!
