So this is my Version of the Story and it didn't happen that way at all!! We'll actually it did but whatever...good times right!! K so I was originally working for this Conference Center as there conference coordinator. It was awesome, being a people person that I am you could not ask for a better job. I was able to show my creative side while being paid for it. Well my boss and I got along, however she was one of those bosses that felt it was a “good Idea” it was hers. I was good at my job, the clients always had positive comments and she tried to take as much credit as she could with them. At some point because of the current economic market we slowed down, way down. I was asked to run the bar that we had on site since are current bartender wasn’t working out and I needed to keep my hours. I agreed and also assisted in the little bit of meetings that we had coming in. This is where the final stray comes in. One of Our clients was holding there quarterly seminar. And as a reward for always giving superior service they asked me to participate in the two day seminar as there guest. I accepted and but in a PTO request for those dates. When I showed up for the seminar, she asked why I was here and you could just see in her face how pissed she was. I believe it was because they asked me not her. So when she made up the poor performance review so she could suspend me it resigned. Took my vacation time and looked for a new job. That’s when things got tough. A friend of mine tried to get me into selling insurance. That never took off and I was scrapping by more and more each month. Late rent payments, empty refrigerator, not able to keep up my appearance with my monthly hair cut, waxing and manicure. It sucked. My saving grace was the fact that I have always made friends in the right places. I worked more at my summer job, I kept in touch with the VP of my bank to keep my account in good standing, I made payment arrangements with my land lord. It was still the longest summer of my Life. From June till November…not fun. Now we are getting to the Tasha and me Part. So in November I accepted the fact that I was not going to make any money selling insurance and started looking for a new job. I went back to my roots and started looking in the food industry. Found two jobs that looked promising and contacted them for an interview. The first one was for a chef position in a cafeteria in that tall office building on I-25 and Arapahoe rd, you know the one. It went really well and I was asked back for a working interview. I just didn’t have the good vibe feeling, so I went to my second interview. Bear Rock cafĂ© was a new franchise in Colorado selling sandwiches and salads in kind of a rustic cabin atmosphere. I was applying for the Assistant General Manager Position. So I walked, and there she was, her back was turned to me at the time, but when she turned around I forgot why I was there. She was so beautiful. Her smile filled the room. I did order the coffee and all I could think about was “man I hope she is over 18.”The interview went well and as before was asked back. 30min after the second interview I was hired. I was so excited, Finally I’m going to get paid, back on track, and yesssss, I would be working with this very pretty lady J. As quickly as I started she left for a vacation. We did work together some and during that time I grew even more attracted to her, especially when I found out that she was 21. She just had so much energy and “life” I felt happy just being around her. We did start flirting. My intent was to start dating, she was just having fun. But she was good at it. Always trapping my car in after the evening shift so we could talk and I wouldn’t run away. This went on for a while and yes I did ask her to go get her nails done with me. I’ll admit that I’m metro sexual, I just wanted to spend time with her. So we finally started hanging out outside of work. My boss hated it. She was jealous. It’s true, I’m not that consisted. I helped her with her car as she watched me get my license suspended for an unpaid speeding ticket. And after that we started to click. She was over at my place more and I convinced her to quit and apply at the restaurant across the parking lot. It was a good move for her on so many levels, plus then my boss couldn’t get mad at us for dating, even though she did. Things moved pretty quickly from there, but it felt very natural. I was so I love with her, and we started tossing around the idea of getting married. Not soon but within a year or so. It was right around that time that she comes into the store with this huge smile on her face. I so new what she was going to say, and yep she was pregnant. That was so kewl. As the story goes, we weren’t “trying” but we weren’t “not trying” basically we felt it would happen when it was supposed to. So then it was telling the parents. No big deal in telling mine, they don’t scare me, her dad however, yes, very much so. I was not ready. But it went shocking well. A hand shakes, congratulations, and welcome to the family is all that happened. A week later we were married at the best wedding anyone could ask for, especially being planned in a week. We had everything but a dance. She even surprised me with a wedding dress. We agreed on being causal but out she comes in the stunning white bridal dress that again made me forget why I was there. Ok I think that most of everything and Tasha is dying to see what I wrote so that she can write some more. So ill end saying I’m glad she was able to look through the gruffly exterior I had at the time and gave us a shot cause it been one awesome ride and I am so happy being with her!!!
