road rage

so today on my way to work, a man driving next to me was obviously in a hury. he kept swirving in and out of traffic. and the look of disbleif on his face when he couldn't get over. then, another man in a truck, turned his blinker on, to move in in fron of this man who was in a hury. but of course, then man who was in a hury, had no time to let anyone in. so the man in the truck, let himself in. observing the whole thing, i knew what was coming next. HONK HONK!!!!!! of course he honked his horn. and the look of disgust on his face. and then i started thinking again about a conversation christopher and i have had several times. it goes like this (as i step up on my soap box)

road rage is dumb!!! say no to road rage!!! friends don't let friends be JERKS on the road! (also friend don't let friends text and drive) but anyway, i'm not an aggressive person. i'm the person who puts on her blinker 5 minutes before i have to get over, b/c unlike that truck, i will not just let myself in. these are things i think you should think to yourself next time you want to be rude, or agressive on the road:

you're not the only person on the road. get over yourself, and leave on time.

if you're running late, b/c we all do occasionally, is someones life worth getting there two minutes earlier?

when you swerve in and out of traffic to "get ahead" and then we end up at the same stop light, don't kid yourself, you look like and idiot.

iif you were the person in that white car who honked at the guy in the truck, simply b/c you would not let him in. just think, if you were on your way to an interview, and you walked in only to fnd the person interviewing you was that guy in the truck...do you thnk you would get the job?

people become jerks on the road...why? i have a friend who i will not name, that when i drive with said person, becomes completely different. said person, cuses, and uses rude hand jesters, but if i never drove with said person, i would never evern know this side of...said person. so why does driving do ths to you? i mean if you were in a grocery store and someone cut you off accidentally with their cart. (you know when your'e coming out of and aisle, and someone else is coming towards the aisle your coming out of and you almost crash) think if we treated every instance liek we do driving. can you imagine everytime something like that happened if people reacted that way? just imagine that situation for a second...the two people with the carts. and now imagine them cussing each other out, and giviing rude hand jesters. really? is it neccessary? no, it's not. so stop doing it.

p.s. your horn is to warn people of something (ex: someone is backing up, they don't see you, you honk, to warn them you're there) not to say "F U"
